The Canadian Commandery of the Order of Saint Joachim held its annual Ceremony of Investiture on August 11, 2012, investing six new knights and dames.

Our Grand Registrar, The Chevalier Arjeh van der Sluis KCJ, was promoted to Knight Commander for his service to Grand Chapter.
Dame Anne Mitchell DJ was formally appointed Grand Secretary of the Order, and was also awarded the Grand Master's Medal.
H.E The Chevalier Martin von Grossmann GCJ was formally installed as Commander of the USA Commandery and promoted to the rank of Knight Grand Commander.

Dinner and presentations followed at the historic Hart House.
The first of the Order's newly-instituted Benefactors Medals were awared at the dinner. Silver awards were presented to H.E The Chevalier M. Nugent Schneider GCJ, Commander of Canada and to our Grand Almoner H.E. Dame Dawn Schneider GCJ for their generous contributions and long-time financial support of the Order. The award in gold was announced to Mr. Miles Nadal to be presented at a later date.
The Grand Master presented the Order's Benefactors Medal in bronze to Chevalier Antonio Wendland KJ for his generous support of the Order's charities, particularly the Polish Orphan's Fund
